– And Who Are You?–

March 15, 2004 – Last week I received this lovely photograph from Phil Amato, along with a note that read:

"Hi, Ginnie. I'm a professional photographer in Rochester, N.Y. I often shoot in my house, as well as in my studio. On Saturday evening, I was shooting a male model in my foyer for some pictures to be used in his portfolio. The house was completely dark except for one monolight pointed directly at the model. All of a sudden – and ever-so-quietly – my 9 1/2 year old Dane, Rosebud, came lurking out of the shadows, causing the model quite a bit of concern. I explained that she just wanted to say 'hello' and give him a peck on the cheek. Or was she looking to become a supermodel?"

I was so taken with the photograph, I asked Phil if it would be okay to use it on DaDane of DaWeek. He not only agreed, but he sent along another lovely photo of Rosebud, which appears below. I hope you enjoy Phil's work as much as I did. (Check out his website.)
