Ginnie, we've seen the illustrated standard now. Will we get the written, more specific standard for this new breed soon??

Ha! Love the 'mute-tant' swan! Lovely, long, arched neck! As a bird owner, lover and keeper...I take care of several very rare species of birds at the zoo where I work....I greatly enjoyed your avian twist for DaDane this time!

Thanks for the Whooping Chortle! The second I saw this starting to load, I knew what was coming and started whooping (much to the chagrin of my coworkers!). Thanks, I LOVE the way your brain works! ~jules

Ginnie,
Maybe next time you visit you can slip Little Big into a pillowcase and leave him with the others at Swan Lake!

Great picture, and love the "genetically modified swan" idea. While I'm thinking of it, what IS the difference between a goose and a swan?
Cheers, Barb
