your pictures of the Danes always make me smile, the stories you tell about several Danes are very helpfull and gives us a lot of usefull information ! My first Dane Balou died when he was only 2,5 years old, my second Dane Scooby died when he was only 1 year and 1 month old ! But the love for Danes is too strong, so my third Dane is Hugo and he is 1 year and 2 months old. I hope that he will stay with me for a very long time. This makes Hugo a very spoiled Dane. He has his own bedroom, bed, carpet and so on.
He has a litte brother now, it is a Dachshund and his name is Youp.
The combination I must say is perfect ! They really love eachother ! But thanks again for the lovely pictures and for all the stories !

I truly appreciate all the stories and the beautiful pictures of all the danes... I have been touched and helped through my own loss. My girl, Raven was a black with a harlquin chest. I was fortunate to have her join my family when my children were very young. they grew up together. I hver a million stories. we lost her after almost 10 1/2 years to cancer. Even the Day she died she looked at me and her puppy sparkle flickered in her eyes for an instant, then the pain returned I knew it was time to say good bye. Six months later, after missing her so much, we found Athena. She's a blue merle. we lover her to andevery now and then Raven pops out of our mouth and we know that Raven is looking over us, she's happy that we're not so sad anymore.

Oh the memories of puppy hood never fade! My 5 year old couch potato Moses was a wild puppy. Slipping and sliding across the kitchen floor and crashing into whomever happened to be around. He ate our new family room furniture. I tried in vain to save it, by spraying bitter apple and barracading the couch with chairs if we went out. The nice new $100 dog bed that looked so good in the magazine lasted 1 day and a half. Then when he was snout high to the kitchen counter things dissappeard like whole chickens and fresh baked loafs of bread. To this day he will steal my pot holders and bury them in the yard.
Thanks for the story on Tess, she is very cute!!
Hope your vacation was great Ginnie!
