Ginnie, again, a fantastic segment!
Of course, the puppy pics are cute, also.

I can certainly attest to the thorough breeding program Cindy and Glenn Niske adhere to, as well as the love and devotion they give their puppies prior to the careful screening they give all prospective buyers - my husband and I bought our boy "Sonny" from Cindy and Glenn in Feb 03 from Hallie's previous breeding to Ch. Gameplan's Ray. We couldn't be more thrilled. Cindy and Glenn have been fantastic breeders, and, over the months, have also become good friends. They have supported us every step of the way - every question answered, follow up phone calls cheerfully returned, sitting ringside with us to cheer for our boy in the ring. It is so obvious how much Cindy and Glenn care for these puppies. Sonny's great personality and intelligence can be attributed to the loving, attentive home he was raised in for the first 9 weeks of his life. And now he is the love of OUR lives. Bravo to all the reputable Dane breeders in general, and to Cindy and Glenn in particular. For the facts you stated in your article, Ginny, and because there are such dedicated breeders like Cindy out there, we will continue to buy our puppies "off the rack", and be very grateful to you all!!

Puppies, oh back to the days many years ago when I used to breed. Prices were only about $150 to $300 then to give you an idea of how long ago that was. My Tasha I got from Great Dane Rescue at 10 months and she is wonderful. Maybe some day I'll buy a puppy but more likely my next Dane will be a rescue too.

WOW!!! Thank you very much!! We were dane owners for 10 years, 6 months and 11 wonderful loving and amazing days. We found our Beauregard from a kind yet probably unknowlegable backyard breeder...we got lucky, and we were all blessed. After Beau's death I started surfing the web for comfort and found you all, I had no idea that such support existed. The education, humor and just all around good feelings that we have gotten from these dane sites are enough to help the healing process and make us want to go out there and start again. As a tribute to Beau, we can and will love another as much. This time filled with alot more understanding and knowledge. It is true that once you live with and love a dane you must do it again. There is a huge void in our lives now, but not in our hearts. Thank you Ginnie, and all your 'contributors' your enlightening efforts have helped to heal our hearts. We appreciate your time and thank you tremendously!!!

Pat, I could not agree with you more!! Cindy and Glenn are the best in my book! They are a wealth of info and love to share it with anyone who cares to listen and learn. Their devotion to the breed is what I believe all breeders should follow. The best part about Cindy and Glenn, is, they are two of the sweetest people!! They have supported me ringside and over the phone. I could not ask for better friends!
They are true Great Dane Lovers!!!

Ginnie, Your site is so wonderful and informative. KUDOS to you for having such a helpful site.

Health testing isn't cheap, but what you get in return, just knowing your animals are healthy easily makes up for the cost.

Is it possible the puppies have gotten even more adorable?

Thank you, Ginnie, for your great website and this particular DaDane feature. There are too many out there that think that all there is to breeding is putting two dogs together and the money will automatically pour in from puppy sales. These people will never "get it"...will never get the importance of health testing, temperament and conformation.
Thank you again...Jo
