Since I won't attend this year's National, not being able to view Louise's work, especially her newest pieces, will be one of the disappointments for me.

Are those statues not GORGEOUS!? Wow! Yet another beautiful work of art by Louise. Thanks for sharing the sneak preview, Ginnie. I can't wait to see them at the National ~

I also own Severl of Louises lovely works of art, including Poetry in Motion, and Solitaire. I have reserved "Senior Moments" For my hubby for Christmas this year. Each piece Louise creates brings alive a memory of Danes past, and helps me keep them alive in my heart. THanks Louise...sorry I'll miss this years' National as well!

We just saw one of Louise's pieces for the first time today. We are in Colorado Springs on business and we saw a lifesized instalation of "Bella and the Bug" on Tejon Road. We immediately pulled over after recovering from minor panic attacks! We touched the big paws and marveled at how dane-like Bella really was. This was even more special for us because we have a two year old fawn bitch named Ella Bella who is TOTALLY a bug watcher. While we are in the States on business our danes are in South Africa. It has been six long months since we've hugged them (You may be thinking we are terrible dane parents, but we love our danes more than anything. Sometimes in life you have to make hard choices), but hugging a stone statue today gave us some hope and a little joy.
