Very cute, Ginnie!! Maybe if you had of gotten a hat that matched Merlin's colouring, he would wear it.... he didn't want to look like a fawn!! :-)
Keep up the wonderful work, and happy Valentine's Day! Angie |
Now this is so typical Ginnie! LOL
Great idea and very funny. |
Another week off to a hilarious start! Thank you for the laugh!

Ginnie, What an absolute wonderful idea. Jackson was the perfect model for your beautiful hat. |
Ginnie, One of my weekly pleasures is seeing your story each Monday. I am in my office and laughing till I am crying. I can so picture Merlin & Jackson and their Dane reactions. Perfect!!! Nothing is more hilarious than a big goofy doogie in a hat or t-shirt! Thanks!!!! |
Happy Valetine's Day to all !!!!!! Love the picture with the hat.. it does look well on the fawn......almost mkes me want to go and get one since it does look warm.. however this winter in Indy has'nt been all that bad.. maybe next year.. have you thought about importing them and selling to all you Dane-of the week fans?????
Have a great Week !!!!! |
This is hysterical! My dane Moses would think it was an attack by a flying fox or squirrel. He has humored me with devil and antler ears however this is going a bit far !! |
Ginnie, You need to take Big Red to National this year & I will bring the white fur hat that I bought at Expo67 in Montreal. Fur hats are warm. Just think how warm that "hat that got away" would have been but it looks like it would limit your view.

There is definately a frown on Jackson's face, though his big heart has overcome his displeasure in allowing us this silliness. Some dogs just look goofy or funny when we dress them in human clothing; the Dane projects much greater depth of character. |
The photos are wonderful! Jackson is so beautiful and he looks very distinguished (if ever so slightly disgruntled) in Big Red. But how did you get the hat to stay on? In the photos it looks almost molded around his head. |
Ginnie,
I think YOU wearing "the hat that got away" should have been the feature picture this week and Jackson should have been the side picture. I can just see Merlin passing your picture around to all his friends saying "Look how cute people are with foxes on their heads." Needless to say I loved the photos. |
I love the expression on Jackson's face. He's almost daring us to laugh at him. My 2 girls (1 black,1 Harlequin)
love to dress up, especially for Halloween. I wish I knew what he is really thinking. Thanks for the laugh. Diane |
Oh Ginnie, I think you've crossed the line. LOL!
Actually, the first pic almost looks like a big rodent has crawled on top of Jackson's head, wrapped it's paws and tail around his skull and planting a big kiss in the middle of his forehead. Or else he's got one serious cowlick. *g* Can we try the hat on my brindle girl next? I think she would really appreciate the full coverage on her uncropped ears -and that color looks like it would be very flattering. |
Hi'ya Ginny,
You, Cindy and Jackson are just too far out. I told Razzoo about his brother Jackson and Big Red being a star today and our thoughts are just how much our Danes love us to do whatever we ask of them. Jackson looks wonderful....and you are just too smart. Way to go Chick! Keep 'em coming and keep me laughing. Hugs to you, Cathy and Brother Razzoo |
