Ginnie! So glad to see DaDane is back up & running!! Needed my monday morning fix!
LOVE the story about Miss Maudie! She's a neat gal and beautiful, too!
Chantel
I'm so glad you got your computer fixed! And what a great story! I've been a CHROMADANE fan for a long time, but didn't know that much about Maudie. Great photos - they really capture the love!
And I had to giggle at the line " I think Maud inherited her talkativeness from her breeder" LOL!!
What a nice article Ginnie! She is a stunning harle girl. She doesn't even look like a veteran! Luv the whole article, pics, and especially the talkativeness comment!!!Thanks!
Made me grin, chuckle and almost tear up a bit. just as shy about I wish I could write as well as Maud - that girt has a way with words.
So I can't even put a sentence together. Let's make that girl, not girt, and the shy comment was to have been "that Maud is just as shy as her breeder too!.....lol.......
First I have to say, so glad DaDane is up and running.
Really enjoyed Maud's story.
Made me laugh and even shed a few tears. Maud is a lucky girl.
Have to agree with Harline, those incredible Chromadanes are one of the many facets of JP.
This has to be one of my all time favorite DaDanes, Ginnie. It showcases a very worthy dog that exemplifies the breed and honors her breeder and the whole line of danes that produced her. It also honors her very wonderful home with Mary and Greg Lugo. I have to admit I teared up a bit, but I also got several good laughs. Do you really think Maud gets her talkativeness from JP??????
Great show case of the things a dog can do in a lifetime. From the breeder and champion to the life as a beloved pet and work in the new sport "Freestyle Dance”. New Owner Mary Lugo waited a long time for a great dog like Maud. How lucky they both are.
Very touched by this story
I was excited to see a Chromadane on Da Dane of the week. I've been visiting with JP since last winter. I lost one dane (DCM) at Xmas 2004 We rescued her in 1994 when she was 2. We lost our other Merle girl last June at age 12. (DM) raised her from 9 weeks. Losing them was totally devestating. Worst pain I've ever had. I thought the pain and tears would never stop. Eventually I was able to conclude that they gave me so much that losing them is worth the pain and began searching for the best Harl breeder I could find. We've been waiting for a Chroma puppy. Sadly Frenchie, potential mom to be bred to Pirate died of a mysterious tick borne illness that toxed her marrow. If all had gone as planned we'd probably be getting a pup in May. The wait continues. As much as I love danes I knew I couldn't live without them. I knew want I wanted, began my research before my last dane got sick, eventually found that Chroma met all my requirements. So now we patiently wait. Thank you for your gorgeous photo's of Maud and all the other danes from past weeks. Keep them coming.
