oh
my GOODNESS Yes, he is quite stunning. For being so young, he has such a wonderful body, looks so strong and commanding. I can certainly see why your camera would find it's way to him. His owners/breeders/handlers should be awfully proud. and me...dreaming of owning another dane one day...is extremely jealous :) Thanks for the great shots! I hope your trip to Italy was fabulous. I would love to have the opportunity to get there one day. |
what a beautifull dog !!!!! great shots of him and I can see why you would want to keep on taking his pictures !!!!!
Have a great week !!!!! |
Yay!! I'm so glad you posted these pics! I have yet to meet Vader but have been admiring him on the web for several months now! Glad to get verification of my good taste <vbg> |
Oh he really caught my eye at the National, too! A very beautiful young dog!! A photogrpaher's dream! He reminded me of an Arabian stallion!!! |
You know? This dog going RWD was confirmation to me that even I am able to pick out the best dog at the show, even when there are over 200 entered! But, I think it's just because THIS DOG was a stand out and people were talking about this dog for 2 days! He's gorgeous...to whom ever owns/bred/handles this dog! Let us know when he's finished! |
Hi Ginnie, nice pictures as always. He is a handsome boy. I just looked at the new dane site, www.greatdanereview.com. And there was an ad for him stating that he finished recently. Just wanted to let you know. Keep the pics coming! |
What an amazing animal!! He is BEAUTIFUL!!! And looks as if he knows it! :) |
Ha, your (photographic) eye always leads you in the right direction!
Greetings from the bayou. |
What a gorgeous dog. Absolutely stunning. Too bad they felt they had to mutilate his ears. |
What a most ridiculous remark about this dog's perfectly shaped and upright ears. |
Mutilate, I'm new to danes, but this a handsome boy. Unless you are just against cropping ears, can't imagine anyone saying anything bad about these ears. |
It's pretty obvious she has "an issue" with cropping. (And no issue with rudeness, some would say.) Vader's ears were NOT mutilated. They were carefully cropped by someone with an educated eye.
Personally, I have chosen -- and will continue to choose -- natural ears for my pet Danes. I have my reasons, just as show people have their reasons for cropping. They believe a well-proportioned crop on a nice head enhances its beauty. And I tend to agree. Is that reason enough to put a puppy through a painful procedure? For some people it surely is, for others it's not. This is a subject that can be debated ad nauseum. If we have to debate it (and I hope we don't!) let's keep it friendly... |
well said Ginnie !!!!!!
Merry Christmas to all and I'm looking forward to another wonderfull year of Danes and trips around the country and world or whatever Ginnie decides to post for the week... Thanks Ginnie !!!! |
Merry Christmas to all, including the Great Danes whether they have cropped or folded ears. |
yes it's a matter of opinion to crop or not to crop ... vader is just stunning !! Happy Holidays to dane lovers everwhere, and you, too Ginnie !!!!! |
