"Back from Oz!" Friends and regular site visitors know that I recently spent a month in Australia. The trip was was part vacation and part reconnaissance. Naughty DaHumph disappeared into the Australia bush several months ago, and it was time to find him. Was he found? Well, you'll just have to stay tuned to find out. The trip provided a wonderful opportunity to visit members of the Great Dane Mail List. It also gave me a chance to learn about Australia from the experts, meaning the people who live there. I will tell you right now that Australians have strange habits and lifesyles. Especially Australian great dane owners. In addition to danes, Aussies live with some pretty unusual critters. Of course, it isn't hard to find unusual critters when you live in Australia. The country is full of them. During the next several weeks, I'll be telling you about the highlights and oddities of the trip. You will meet the kangaroo that regularly visits Cheryl's kitchen. (It's looking for the cookie tree.) You will find out what lives in someone else's toilet. (Clue #1: It's not a great dane.) You will see what Pickles does for fun. You'll go to the Billabong. Eventually you'll learn whether or not we caught up with DaHumph. It's nice to be back. I really missed working on my web site. To all the visitors who kept coming anyway: Thanks for your loyalty. You now have something new to look at!
